Not super into indie-games that try to redefine gamer/GM roles. I like to create vivid and complex characters and get into their heads, which I can't do if I'm jumping in and out of character and worldbuilding spaces. Which is a shame, because I like the kind of people who like indie games quite often.
Turn-ons: difficult moral choices, intra-player interactions, humor, interesting tactical decisions, miniatures, low-dice gaming, female-friendly groups, cooperation, character empowerment, tabletop, play-by-MUSH, occasional LARPs
Turn-offs: Mechanics-heavy gaming, rules lawyers, macho guys, games as excuse to snarf junk food, starting late, story as excuse for combat scenes, out-of-character conflict, selfish players, antagonistic GMs, antagonistic players, heavy alcohol or drug use (by players), boffer LARPs, play-by-email
Also, I've been through the 'games are art!' phase, and come out the other side. I like psychologically compelling roleplay as much as anyone, but games should be primarily FUN to play. I'd rather play a rousing old-school dungeon crawl than explore how much it sucks to be on the losing side of a dystopian regime.
